Marco inherits this stuffed feline head, a trophy that for many years cristalizes the animal’s last expression, before being defeated in the “Battle of la Sierra de Perijá” by his grandfather. Marco decides to create a new version of the oil portrait of Simón Bolívar which was found abandoned on the street. Deletes the facial features from this unfortunate hero and embeds the wild cat’s face as if it were escaping through the canvas… a way to return the courage to Simón Bolívar, whose memory has been trivialized “equivalently to the media impact of Warhol’s Marilyn”, in hundreds of replicas from the Venezuelan government.

Marco hereda esta cabeza de felino disecado, un trofeo que durante muchos años recordaba la última expresión del animal, antes de ser vencido en “La batalla de la Sierra de Perijá”, a manos de su abuelo. Marco decide crear una nueva versión del retrato al óleo de Simón Bolívar que se consigue abandonado en la calle. Borra las facciones del poco agraciado prócer y le incrusta la cara del felino como si atravesara el lienzo… una manera de regresar el coraje a Simón Bolívar, cuyo recuerdo se ha banalizado “equivalentemente al impacto mediático de la Marilyn de Warhol”, en cientos de réplicas propias del gobierno Venezolano.
